The book is created by N.Poleshchuk who has written more than 20 books on AutoCAD and who is the only Russian
author having Autodesk authorization. The book deals with a recently appeared Russian AutoCAD 2008 version giving
a big set of new interesting user tools. The main tools are as follows: annotation scale, multileaders, data links
with Excel tables, multiline attributes. Annotative entities (singleline and multiline texts, dimensions, blocks,
hatches, multileaders) prevent us now from the inconsistency between annotation objects size and various scales of views
and viewports because each one of those entities may have multiple display presentations.
From other news we shall mention new table tools including table breaks, independent behavior of table parts,
static and dynamic columns, placement of several blocks in a cell. Reader can find information on layer settings
in paper space viewports for individual presentations in different projections and views. Microstation DGN format
import and export operations are covered too. The chapter dedicated to 3D work tells about new light types,
photometric objects, "sun-sky-earth" imitation for rendering. In a word novice and keen reader will find much
useful information. Appendix shows names of all the new commands.
